Newly released body camera footage shows a police officer shooting an unarmed man in an Arizona hotel after the man sobbed and pleaded with officers not to shoot him.
The graphic video, which was released after a jury on Thursday acquitted the officer of murder and manslaughter charges, stoked outrage on social media and renewed calls for reforms in law enforcement.

I have immediate family who are present LEOs. After seeing the video, they ALL say it was a bad shoot and the cop should be in jail. I’ll take their opinions over a internet tough-guy any day. You are a fool for supporting this cop’s actions, and people like you are the reason that governments’ are able to oppress their citizens. Clear enough?
No, they weren't. My understanding is that the video was "released" after the trial was already over.
You shut up. This was murder, plain and simple.
I never said anything about the worth of the dead guys life.
You are a liar.
What am I lying about, Joe?
You're spewing anger and calling everyone names all over this forum. You're really not representing yourself well. You sound unhinged.
Please, tell me what I am lying about and correct anything incorrect that I said in the post you were referring to.
Why the hell not? What was the objection?
The jury was wrong genius, and you need to get off this site, you don’t fit in.
It looks like I owe you and the rest of the forum an apology. The jury apparently did see the video. I saw an article and a news story that stated “...the video was released after a jury aquitted...” and misunderstood that. They meant released to the public.
Jesus, were they blind?
The jury did not try to defend the police tactics. All they said was that they were not convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that it was murder.
But if someone wants to try defending it as good police work...I’d love to see them try!
Leaving it at that, I and other Freepers do NOT want this type of LEO coming to our hotel door after being seen carrying gun cases inside while we are at a Texas Cowboy Memorial Shoot.
On a side note, several times I have had Texas LEO's try to get me to declare my firearms as "weapons". No, they are tools. In Texas, declaring anything a weapon is a felony. Trick question they have been taught the past 25 years.
Perhaps ‘karma’ is the reason why you ‘boys’ are afraid of your own shadows.
I have always though dogs hate police because dogs are great judges of threats to their pack.
Dogs can smell the fear...
“You’re a liar.”
You’re an asshole.
