Air Force One touched down in Jackson, Miss., at 10:11 am CT. There is snow on the ground.
Housekeeping matter: the background and tick tock shared in report #1 was actually provided for planning purposes. Pooler error in passing along the schedule in particular, which is in a bit of flux, obviously.
Also on background, poolers’ shoes and pants mostly remain damp as we arrive in the frigid South.
Some color from the local pooler, Geoffrey Pender of the Jackson Clarion-Ledger:
A crowd of about 100 people had gathered at Thompson Field near Jackson, Miss., by about 8 a.m. The crowd was nearly all white, and largely members of the military and their friends and family. Word was circulated that the president was running at least an hour behind schedule.
Gov. Phil and state First Lady Deborah Bryant led small group of dignitaries to meet the president, including Sen. Roger Wicker and Rep. Gregg Harper and Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs. “This is great,” Bryant said. “Our bicentennial, a presidential visit, museum openings and it’s my birthday. “I’m turning 50, for the 13th time,” Bryant said.

Air Force One held on the tarmac in West Palm Beach as the rain subsided. Taxiing at 9:35, 50 minutes or so behind schedule.
To clarify previous report, it is not only the pool that is cold and wet as we head to Mississippi, where it is currently 29 degrees. So are the press minders, Secret Service agents and others. The airman checking in the pool at the back stairs, his uniform was soaked through.
Next stop Jackson.

The president deplaned at 11:34 pm and gave a quick wave to the pool before boarding an SUV. Motorcade rolled a few minutes later. Press vans followed into Mar-a-Lago and then headed for press hotel back near the airport.
The weather in West Palm Beach is balmy. We passed some onlookers at the Public supermarket. One guy waving a big Trump banner and then a group of maybe a dozen apparent supporters hooted and hend signs such as Latinos for Trump at the bridge to Palm Beach.
Pool departed MAL at 11:50 under a very pretty moon. Top half or so obscured by clouds.

*Subject:* *Travel pool #5/leaving Mar-a-Lago*
Motorcade rolled at 5:10 pm from Mar-a-Lago and arrived at Air Force One at 5:21. The president quickly boarded, stopping at the top of the stairs to wave. School buses ring the airfield.
More demonstrators outside MAL this afternoon. Signs said “Very fake news” and “Impeach” and maybe eight girls dressed in Handmaids Tale costumes stood in a row as we crossed the bridge.
A block past the bridge on the West Palm Beach side we spotted a sign that said “Welcome home president Trump #MAGA” and a woman with a baby stroller holding a sign “Puppies for Tlrump” with “God bless Trump family” in smaller letters.
Earlier we saw a guy on a bike ride up to them holding a very small “Fxxx Trump” sign on a piece of cardboard. Also spotted as POTUS returned to the airport: a lifesize Trump cutout, and women waving a US flag and an Israeli flag.
Closer to airport “Hillary for Prison” and “Corrupt” and “Shame” signs.
Wheels up shortly for return to JBA.

Air Force One took off at 5:33 pm from West Palm Beach and touched down at Joint Base Andrews at 7:14.
Uneventful flight.
Update on protesters in report #5. There were eight Handmaids Tale costumed protesters. They were women. Also the guy mentioned on the bike was standing next to these women as the president passed, right hand holding the “Fxxx Trump” sign, left hand signaling the same sentiment with a middle finger.

In the morning, President Donald J. Trump will receive his daily intelligence briefing.
The President will then have lunch with Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue.
The President will then participate in a presentation of the Friends of Zion award with Faith Leaders.
Later in the afternoon, the President will meet with Congressman Bill Shuster before participating in a signing ceremony for Space Policy Directive 1.
The President will then participate in a swearing-in ceremony for Jamie McCourt* *as the U. S. Ambassador to France and U.S. Ambassador to Monaco
Thank you for posting that link, jenny! I loved every second of it. I felt like I was right there...in the White House...seeing all of the wonderfully decorated trees and the different rooms.
