When I was stationed down on Otis on Cape Cod, I used to see these town logos on the city trucks there in the various New England towns.

I remember a few had scenes like a farmer at the plow, or a person building something, and not a tree in the background. Just stone walls and fields. I remember one had this big ole hill, Blue hill outside Boston, and not a tree on it. As I’m passing the truck on Rte 128, I see the logo, and then the hill. It’s the same hill! But the real one’s thickly forested. Same outline though.

Blue Hills in Canton is where I learned to ski at three years of age. It is a swath down the hill and has operated as a local ski area for at least 70 years. we have many open fields enclosed by hand built stone walls. If you ever watched John Adams, the HBO show..Which was Awesome btw. There is a winter scene towards the end with John and Abigail facing Boston from Quincy which is a few scant miles from Blue Hills,NNE.
