I don't see how this police officer's actions could be defended.

Yea first he tells him to put his hands up and don't move or he will be shot. "Don't lower your hands or I will kill you". then he orders him to crawl towards him. WELL WHICH IS IT?

The only way he can crawl is to put his hands on the ground!

Those kind of conflicting instructions would be hard to follow even under normal circumstances. But with a gun pointed at your head? Who know how any of us would react?

I don’t know why one officer didn’t frisk the woman and clear her and then go to the man to frisk him.

I am not trained in such situations but it appeared that both were willing to cooperate with the police officers.

Unfortunately today and I don’t know why honestly but cops are not like it was when I was a kid I can remember deputies carrying a 45 LC model 25 revolver in a pick up Slouch hat khakis Suede ropers Brave and affable Didn’t need navy seal team wagon to wade into a hot environment if lives were at stake Didn’t ticket us for petty speeding Drive you home to parents if u got caught drinking Give u a pass on a little pot if you weren’t a smartass cause you all deer hunter together and went to church together too And grandpa had done a little bootlegging but we didn’t get too self righteous about all that And they sure didn’t shoot you for nothing or freak out of you had a gun in the car But they might beat your ass if you spit on them or beat a woman down And Highway Patrolmen were spit and polish and totally professional and never ever corrupted And cops weren’t jacked on roids and ink It was a different world till say mid to late 80s I️ dove and duck hunted with our county sheriff and we shared “pull” ... peach brandy in the blind on cold mornings in a dry county Militaristic itchy cops is not good Tks for your service I’d have been honored to be arrested by ya I️ was a wild man I️ ain’t gonna lie but I’d been respectful Merry Christmas

Why not cover him with the weapon while the other cop walks up and cuffs him???He wouldn't have liked for me to have been on that jury...
