Just making a comparison to Beverly Nelson. Not disparaging Alabamans or meaning to offend. I’ve been there a few times and loved every minute.
One memorable moment was in a steakhouse. I think it was in Muscle Shoals. I asked the waitress IF they had sweet tea. Literally heard forks drop.
“They’s a yankee in heah.”
My buddy, a southerner mouthed “moron” under his breath.
It was actually pretty funny.
My main response to all of the anti Roy Moore stories is that I don’t think there’s any way in the world some reporter from up north, especially Washington DC would find out a long kept secret in a couple days of snooping around
