I believe we will find that the Obama administration used the dossier as a basis to get FISA wiretap warrants against the presidential candidate and his team before the election, during the election and after the election. Wiretap transcripts appeared to be in the FBI agents' hands when they led Flynn into the perjury trap that bagged him.

Isn't there legal precedent that a guilty verdict or plea based on evidence obtained illegally is overturned?

not sure about a plea but in court fruit of the poisoned tree inadmisable...
