They could move the IRS out to Des Moines, Iowa. It’s a bit of a hub for insurance companies as I recall. There are a couple neighborhoods with really nice houses for the big shots. Seemed like there was a lot of land out by the airport that might be available if they bought out some hog farmers (just going by the smell on a hot day when I passed through).
I spent one delightful winter day in Storm Lake. As we flew out at the end of the day, the wind was blowing so hard that I think we took off before the plane engines started.
Please don't suggest that. One of my daughters lives there with her family, and it is a great place. Property is cheap, and lots of great stuff nearby. She's ten minutes (walking) from downtown and a recreational lake with a beach (also by walking). Great restaurants and malls nearby, and very little traffic, and friendly people. Not to mention, the country's greatest state fair.
She doesn't need uptight IRS people moving there! Certainly not D.C. liberals.
