Former Rep. Harold Ford Jr. (D-Tenn.) was fired from his job at Morgan Stanley after an investigation into a harassment complaint from a female co-worker, HuffPost reported Thursday.
The woman, who requested to remain anonymous, alleged that Ford forcibly grabbed her one evening in Manhattan several years ago. She also accused Ford of harassment and intimidation, according to HuffPost.
A spokeswoman for Morgan Stanley confirmed Ford’s firing, telling the news outlet he was terminated “for conduct inconsistent with our values and in violation of our policies.”

More like there is a panicked desire to fire anyone who gets any kind of complaint filed against them without regards to due process or proving the claim is true. Under the private sector’s rules, Clarence Thomas wouldn’t be on the SCOTUS.
How about going after the politicians that paid for abortions because their sons were sinful? They really shouldn’t get away with murder.
Interestingly, a turning point in the campaign was the "Playboy" ad put out by Corker. End of the commercial had a blond whispering, "Harold, call me." Maybe some sexual harassment stuff was already rumored. Ford never recovered. He may have been a better senator than Corker.

employees agree to abide rules of conduct as a condition of employment and the private sector investigates incidents carefully (as they cant get sued for wrongful termination) and takes action. In my experience (in a Fortune 50 company) its been this way for thirty years.....
Harold Ford was probably a loser for them anyways and this is a convenient way to get rid of his sorry ass.

If I were wrongly accused, I would submit to and challenge the accuser(s) to take a lie detector test. Then, vow to sue them into the poorhouse for defamation. I suspect most other men would react similarly if they were really innocent.

For some reason I cannot fathom, my husband follows Harold Ford on Twitter. Ford is doing just what you said - suing the reporter who broke the story and Morgan Stanley for wrongful termination.
Harold Ford Jr was the only decent Ford from the Memphis area, all his other Memphis relatives are nothing but crooks and criminals.
My Mother-in-Law (may she rest in peace), told us that before the days of regulatory everything, the Fords had an ambulance service, too. We’re talking 40’s or 50’s, I think, maybe later.
She worked for a trucking company in Memphis, and there were several black men on the dock, etc. She told me they would all say, “If I get hurt, don’t let the Fords pick me up.” According to her, they were all afraid that the Ford ambulance would just drive in circles instead of going to the hospital, so the Ford Mortuary would get more business...

Well, I never said I’d sue the reporter. I would never do that unless I could prove that he/she knowingly ran a false allegation, a la Rolling Stone. Suing a corporation for wrongful termination almost seems pro forma.
What I said was I’d challenge the accuser to take a polygraph test with me in order to exonerate myself and then vow to sue her to kingdom come.
Lie dectector tests are not always accurate.
If I were getting railroaded over something like this where the woman is automatically believed and man is assumed to be lying, I’d be willing to roll the dice.
