“Birther” is a term used in the headline of the original article.
The point of the post, is the content of that article, and how it helps explain the overwrought opposition to Roy Moore.
For weeks a necessary and critical debate of conflicting policy implications of electing either Moore or Jones to the Senate, has been swept under the rug by a campaign using unsubstantiated allegations dating back to the 1970’s.
Similar tactics applied to the birth certificate question, where Constitutional requirements were deflected by distortions in the use of language.
This is our federal government in the year of 2017.

The LEFT doesn't want to have the RULE OF LAW applied to them.
Aaron Klein asked:
The Republicans, McConnell and the establishment are in cahoots with this campaign ?
Does that not imply to you that the Republican Party, the Republican establishment, Mitch McConnell could care less about losing a senate seat in Alabama?
I think that is exactly a good description of what we have before us, Moore replied.
Asked what he believes McConnell is so afraid of when it comes to his candidacy,
Moore replied of his candidacy, I am not your typical Republican.
Not only do I believe in conservative fiscal issues, but I also believe in moral and conservative social issues.
I have stood for religious liberty and religious freedom
and these are subjects which Washington not only doesnt understandbut doesnt want to hear about.
Moore charged that Washingtonwould rather stop careers
than to hear about God and to understand thatour values and our rights come from God.
And the governments only role isto secure those inalienable rights for us.
They want somebody they can lead
basically, that they could control.
Well, I have never been controlled.
I do not want to be controlled
and I certainly will not be controlled when I come to Washington.
I will decide on issues independently by listening to my colleagues, discussing matters with them.
I will make up my own mind.
I think we need a change in Washington DC.And I will be part of that change.
It doesn't get any better than JUDGE Roy Moore !

All: The way I dealt with being called a “birther” was to embrace it. The left depends on our willingness to run from their name-calling. If it doesn’t work, they lose their power. (Example: Most of us embraced “tea partier” which they tried to use as an epithet, but because we didn’t run from it we thwarted that ploy.)
For the record: As a “birther” I have no strong opinion on whether 0vomit was born in Kenya or one of two different hospitals in Hawaii or somewhere else entirely. My contention is that we have not seen a genuine BC and therefore have no evidence of where he was born, or when, who his actual parents were, or whether they were married.
