It’s possible that Israel does not want the embassy moved right now. So this is a kind of middle ground: Recognize Jerusalem as the capital without actually moving the embassy.

They are the ones who have to deal with the consequences, so in a way it is their call, and Trump is respecting that.

Possible. (Jerusalem seems to make a lot of mistakes, imho).

“a preponderance of Anglicans, Presbyterians, Methodists, Lutherans, Catholics, and Orthodox do not approach the Word from a dispensational pro-Israel point of view.”

It's strange. God states something will happen concerning Israel and Judah in the Old Testament. Some denominations of the modern church practice ‘replacement theology” and read the name “church’ in place of “Israel” and “Judah”, and that's supposed to negate God's promises to his people Israel, and cancel His promises. God has stated unequivocally that Israel is to be regathered in its land during the last days, and that many nations will help transport his people back to Israel as an offering.

God does not lie. So I think I will wait on God, not man, and believe God not theologians, whether Jewish or Christian. We should be looking for His fulfillment of His literal Word. The major point is that we are all saved through Yeshua’s sacrifice on the cross, and are all looking toward the resurrection, or His coming. This is certainly not dependent upon whether we believe in one of the theories espoused by one side or the other.

Let God be God, and praise Him always for his grace and redemption. What will happen, will happen.
