Yes, you are correct. Poverty is a tough teacher on how to be frugal and efficient. $100 can go a very long way if the knowledge is there. Some of the richest Americans learned how to manage money through an experience of poverty.

And some of the poorest or most failed, most screwed up, most drugged up Americans were given money instead of being told to go out and get a job and earn it. Rich people fuKK up their kids’s lives horribly by giving the kids money.
