Geraldo Rivera tweeted an apology to actress Bette Midler after she posted a video of an interview from 1991 where she accused him of drugging her and groping her in the 1970s. Rivera said he recalled the incident much different than the way Midler does, but he still apologizes for his actions.

I wondered when that would come up. I watched that interview in 1991. I remember later on watching Whorealdo mockingly laugh it off. Bette Midler was never laughing. Now he’s apologizing.
Yes, I am aware of her version, and it is indeed quite beautiful. But in my opinion it is too soft, and is sung more as a poem than a song. I just think Bette Midler’s version is more powerful, and it grabs me more than Amanda McBroom’s version.
