7 prior felonies and a firearm conviction still doesn’t merit a day in jail?

Imagine if a white man had shot an killed an unarmed illegal alien woman--would he have been acquitted and set free?

Jerry Brown could have saved the state the cost of the trial by just pardoning the guy to begin with...for all the good it did to have the trial.

If he were your average white man he’d be facing 10 to 15 years, minimum.

Credit for time served?
What if he had killed a sea lion under exactly the same circumstances? The gun “went off” and a ricochet killed sea lion. How much time would he do for that?

well, he’s been in jail for about 2.5 years up to the trial. even if they sentence, he’d probably be released because of time served.
