Imho The only realistic alternative imho to resistance would have been if she were unable to be heard at the time of the alleged attack.
The only way that the alleged victim could not have been heard is if either the room had been soundproofed or if the alleged attack occurred during off hours (whatever those might be for his NBC office building).
I’m sure he had some nice trophies for outstanding journalism in his office that could have been cracked on his head.
