Much as I don’t like any of the guys being taken down lately I have to say it’s getting to the point where soon a man coming on to a woman who’s not interested will be a criminal offence.
________
I totally agree.
I'm 70 years old but I still appreciate a beautiful woman when I see one. I was at our suburban Pittsburgh grocery store about fifteen years ago going down one of the isles and coming toward me was ONE BEAUTIFUL WOMAN. She had apparently just been jogging and was in excellent shape with a Grace Kelly look. I couldn't help myself. I said to her, "Excuse me, may I please say to you that you are one perfectly beautiful woman. I just had to tell you." She was so appreciative that I had taken the time to say it in the way that I did, she smiled very nicely ........ and I made a point to then keep on walking.
Today, I'd be afraid to say what I said. Years ago that day that woman, who seemingly took great pride in her appearance, would never have received the well-intentioned and innocent compliment that made her happy.
The country today is a mental hospital.
Why didn’t these women who have been “assaulted” call the police at the time of the crime? Did they put career over getting justice? I think so.

Worse than that. Any interaction, whether social or business, will be risky. I have run into instances in engineering where even a different professional opinion, stated professionally and sticking to facts, is considered a violent assault. Something like what kind of flow measurement device should be used on saturated steam (that was an actual case).
