A flippant response the Columbia Democrat made to reporters while walking in the Capitol is drawing the ire of many.
When asked about sexual harassment allegations against colleague Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), Clyburn seemed to suggest elected officials should be held to a different standard than other public figures.

A close woman friend told me this story in the 80’s. Until recently I never thought it was even possible. Back then I just didn’t want to believe it could be true. I still need to be vague on details but I'll try to be concise.
She was one of the runner ups in a Midwestern state beauty pageant. The winner became Miss America.
She was later contacted by one of the state senators and offered a job in his office in DC. Included an apartment in the Watergate. So she went to Washington and answered phones for the senator. Later he asked her to dinner, took her back to her apartment and essentially raped her. She had rug burns that were very painful and quite obvious. He told her to just call in sick until she felt well enough to return to work. She never went back to work but the checks kept coming but not the senator. So she just stayed thinking she might find another job. Shortly she started getting phone calls and unannounced men at her door saying they were friends of the senator and wanted to take her to dinner. She bolted back to her little hometown in the Midwest. Now I absolutely believe her experience in our Nation's capital.
Apologies for the long post but it seemed time to tell her story.

“Thats also true for California.”
That is absolutely true! But SC is a RED STATE, California isn’t! We Conservatives are in the minority here in CA, but that’s not the case in SC! We disenfranchised people are counting on places like SC to keep America from slipping into permanent Socialism/Marxism!

Did we miss the part where they exempted themselves from yet another set of laws?

I met Congressman Clyburn’s wife and daughter.
My mom worked for many years with Ms. Clyburn, the Congressman’s wife who was a librarian at the VA Hospital. According to mom, Ms. Clyburn is a super nice lady. I was introduced to her one time along with her daughter, Mignon Clyburn who was later appointed FCC Commissioner, at a restaurant while dining with my parents, when they (Clyburn’s) were in town visiting relatives.
That being said, I don’t care for Congressman’s Clyburn’s politics.
