Any Jew who remained in Europe after the Holocaust is crazy.
no, I am not. Don’t want animals to suffer as butchered. Don’t want you to suffer either.
Quite a few came back there, why I can’t say. But I would say even to Jews in Switzerland or England it’s time to leave. Europe is getting overrun. If they shut down immigration yesterday, they’d still be overrun, because they already have in their borders third world populations living third world lifestyles, including popping out babies at a rapid rate, and they’re full-fledged citizens. While the actual cultural and ethnic Europeans are wallowing in the trappings of European culture, and reproducing at just barely or less than the replacement rate. The result for Jews is disastrous.
The clearest sign I saw was after the Charlie Hebdo and Kosher Mart massacres, the huge lovefest they had in Paris—not for the victims, but for Muslims! Charlie Hebdo has crossed over to the dark side, and the Jews should take a hint and go over to the Mediterranean and cross it to Israel, or the Atlantic, and cross it to America. Europe’s tomorrow belongs to Jihad, unless something major changes.
Europe doesn't deserve to survive.
You are missing the whole point. A Koser butcher is required by their religion to cause no suffering. If they believed paralyzing/electrocuting an animal before it was butchered was MORE in keeping with their doctrine, they would DO IT.
Personally, as a non-Jewish person, who has raised, killed and processed my own meat, I don't see how torturing an animal, by electric shock, before you kill it is a good thing. It just makes PETA people feel good.
Maybe that is a fair point
Because the laws of slaughtering meat come from G-d A-mighty, and one does not sit in judgment on G-d (unless one is a liberal or atheist).
The world is going to hell because people think they are more moral than G-d.
The leash keeps getting tighter and tighter, and there are questions on what kind of future there is for the Jews,
Seems like we’ve seen this before.
No they don't. They need to follow G-d's laws, not the hang-ups of a bunch of atheists.
So the practitioners of the ROT (Religion of Terror) have a problem with the “ritual slaughter of animals” ... but not of their “ritual slaughter of innocent people.” ... hmmmm.
That's because you apparently have no concept of Divine Law. Do you support homosexuality as well?
If they’d like to adhere to rules that are thousands of years old, then that is their choice. Let them go out of business.
Oh, so you're an atheist. What are you doing at Free Republic?
I assume you also think the laws against homosexuality are cruel?
Listen, if they are providing a service and there are no buyers, then they go out of business.
And I'm not really sure why you're fixated on homosexuality. This is an article about Kosher butchering, but you keep bringing up gayness. That tells me a lot.
If there is no market for the product, yes, they go out of business. The problem here, as I see it, is that the governments are imposing rules that run contra to the laws of Kasruth, thus forcing the butchers to either compromise their beliefs or close up shop.
While I think that "Zionist Conspirator" is pushing the homosexuality a bit too much, there is a very important analogy here. Remember the bakers in Oregon were forced out of business because they refused to make a wedding cake for a homosexual couple? In many respects, this is similar to what is happening to the Kosher butchers and slaughterhouses in Europe.
If a gay couple walks into the bakery and wishes to purchase a cake that's already made in the shop, they should absolutely be allowed to and be protected by law.
However, a baker should not be coerced into using his talents to make a specific product for a gay couple that is opposed to his deeply held religious beliefs. That's like forcing a painter to paint something that is against his beliefs, IMHO.
“due to emigration from France by Jews fearful of jihadist violence and anti-Muslim measures targeting the ritual slaughter of animals.”
The second part caught me by surprise. Halal is only similar to Kosher.
“Ritual, “ I guess is the key word for the French.

From the Jewish perspective (I’m talking Orthodox, for convention) it’s not about the pain-or-not, it’s about our belief of how G-d commanded Jews to slaughter. If He said, “Tickle the animal to death” then that would be the method until today.
As it happens, when one searches for deeper meaning behind the commandments, it seems that kosher slaughter is the most painless way. But it is not not primary reason for slaughtering in this method.
Likewise the false belief that Jews are prohibited from pork because of trichinosis. False. It is all based on our belief or what G-d commands. “Don’t eat from these animals....[including pig.] (I’m saying our belief, less non-Jews wish to argue about correctness of beliefs.)
But so far we just seem to have ethical-animal-treating atheists on the thread. Well the body of evidence seems to indicate that modern stunning techniques in conventional slaughter houses are no less painful that kosher slaughter.
