Israeli security forces began the destruction of Jewish homes the Netiv Ha'avot neighborhood of Elazar in Samaria, an IDF source reported.
Security forces are working to complete the demolition while ensuring security, law, and order.
According to the IDF, the demolitions are being done "as per the request of the political echelon."
Gush Etzion Regional Council Head Shlomo Ne'eman said, "It's very said that we have reached this moment. We've lost control and we've lost sovereignty. People tell us that this is 'the rule of law' but really, i's a loss of control and the destruction of law. Not only will the physical buildings be destroyed this morning; the law that a nation is sovereign in its own land will also be harmed by the bulldozers."
"Seventy years ago, the nations of the world recognized our right to create the State of Israel. On that day, Gush Etzion began its last battle - the battle for Jerusalem. It's time the Israeli government recognize the fact that Israel controls every part of this land. There is no better place to begin applying our sovereignty than Gush Etzion, which walks in the paths of its fathers." (Netiv Ha'avot literally means 'the path of the fathers.')
Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit approved a deal which may save six of the fifteen homes slated for destruction. According to Mandelblit's plan, the parts of the homes which are built on private Arab land will be sawed off. These homes will then be given temporary building permits, effectively legalizing them.

“It’s time the Israeli government recognize the fact that Israel controls every part of this land.”
The Israelites didn’t fare so well the first time when they didn’t assert all of their God-given rights to the land after Joshua died. I’m guessing that this won’t end up very well either.
>The Supreme Court in December 2016 ordered the destruction of Elazar’s Netiv Ha’avot neighborhood, after an unclaimed strip of land was found to run through it.
>In September, the State informed the Supreme Court that it supported the petition of the residents of six houses slated for demolition to have only the small sections of their homes which were built on privately owned land demolished. However, in October, the Supreme Court rejected the residents’ request and ordered the homes destroyed completely.
It’s not well known in America, but the Israeli supreme court has effectively taken control of their government. The leftists in Iserial no longer have the votes to rule the nation so they’re using judges and prosecutors to do so. They controlling the current president by the threat of corruption charges against his entire family and the supreme court is issuing direct orders to the Military as seen in this case.
There’s a decent chance of a civil war or coup in Iserial in the near future.
Yep, same in America.
Governments and politicians do like to talk about how patriotic they are and how Constitutional they are and how religious they are and so on.
I hope we can find non-violent means to resist Corporatist Uniparty governments and politicians in all nations of the world.
Needless to say, the Higher Power is fully aware of what they are doing and directing matters according to His will.
Words fail me. This is tragically sad. It also is 100% morally and politically wrong. This political echelon is leading Israel in a direction that is the complete opposite from the one that it should be taking.
Justices in Israel need to feel the will of the people, just like in the US.
FYI
Perhaps these judges are some of the descendants of the
Jewish Nazi supporters, or just related to, or paid
by, Soros.
I'm assuming conservative Israelis favor building in these areas and leftists don't. Is it as simple as that?
Bibi is Prime Minister, not President.
There was an aireal photograph showing evidence of plowing through the tract, which was developed decades ago. Pure bushido.

Has not the US administration put pressure on Israel too regarding some things? I’m not all for blaming the usual scapegoats. There is give and take in situations. And I do stand with Israel.

The Israelites had to conquer that land by winning under God’s guidance. Annihilate some, rule over others, depending on God’s orders and those orders were based on the sin of the nation. Child sacrifice? Annihilate.
That’s just it though, they did not annihilate the child-sacrificing Baal worshippers (in the North iirc?). They got tired of the battles and thought “Hey - we’ve got plenty of land now.”
Obviously a U.N. Charter isn’t the same as keeping God’s commands, but they still should do everything they reasonably can to keep control of the land they were allotted - and the land that they won after the various wars.
Razing their own homes sounds a lot like “we’re tired of fighting and we have enough land.”
I’ve been reading through their history and the 10 northern tribes under Jeroboam actually kicked out the priests and those who refused to worship the false gods. Pretty wild.
This year was 40 years for legalized abortion in Israel.
