Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) railed against President Trump for using a "racial slur" after he cracked a "Pocahontas" joke during a Monday event with Native American veterans.
"It is deeply unfortunate that the president of the United States cannot even make it through a ceremony honoring these heroes without having to throw out a racial slur," Warren said in an interview on MSNBC after Trump referred to her as "Pocahontas" at an event honoring Navaho "code talkers" who served in World War II.

Warren in her response said Trump's joke will not stop her from continuing to criticize him.
"Look, Donald Trump does this over and over thinking somehow he's going to shut me up with it," she said. "It hadn't worked in the past. It is not going to work in the future."

This wasn’t the time to go after Senator Warren. The President diminished the event with a flippant remark. He does not need to attack someone every time he speaks. These guys are heroes and now all anyone wants to discuss is the Pocahontas comment.

Like most of his tweets: it’s not about getting people to shut up, or engage in thoughtful debate, it’s about using a dog-whistle/catnip/squirrel to distract the target into hysterical obsession about inanities while Trump gets $#!^ done that they’d otherwise fixate on & disrupt.
I wonder if Grey Beaver even knows that the real Pocahontas married an Englishman and became a Christian.

She could change her name to Rebecca Grey-Beaver.
She is the one who got a free ride by claiming that she was in fact a member of a native American tribe. That was racial FRAUD. Trump is merely highlighting that fact with humor and satire.
Warren....Stands With a Stick up Her A$$.
I can trace my father's side back to a specific Cherokee individual, and on my mom's side without documentation to the Lenape (Delaware) tribe. But I'd never stoop to ticking the "Native American" box on any document.
Besides, as it turns out Warren's sole connections with The Trail of Tears are an ancestor who was an army guard enforcing the trek, and that a president of her party organized the ethnic cleanse.
The hypocritical outrage has begun.
Her father, (my uncle,) and I discussed that story long before his daughter was even born. He said "the story" started because his father, (my grandfather,) had been teased as a youth by his friends. They called him "half breed," just to try getting under his skin.
My uncle passed the story on to his daughter, and she latched onto the the half breed part because it was becoming "cool," to be part Indian when she was growing up.
My uncle was a smart man, and knew there was not even one drop of Indian in his dad. He found the whole thing funny. He and I had also discussed our mutual family tree. I am a genealogist and have traced those lines back to the immigrant ancestors which include some Mayflower passengers, also several Rev War Veterans, King Phillips War Veterans, and French-Indian War Veterans.
The bottom line is, my cousin has proved to be as crazy as her mother. I can provide more than enough crazy in my life without help, so that cousin is now blocked.

He should not call her Pocahontas, since she was real...and of course Warren is a fake Native American.
Someone here calls her Fauxahontas, which works much better.
