Yep, I have cut my list of people I have to talk to. While I don’t promote Trump. I won’t deny him either. I generally say, I voted for him and I would vote for him again. I don’t defend him. I never say that I voted for him because he was perfect for the job. He was the perfect tool available on the bench at the time. Its like you have a cement slab that needs to be replaced. You need something big, blunt and sturdy. We got out the sledgehammer and it did the trick. Now we just need to haul away the debris.

No, it isn't. This is about living life as a political ideologue instead of as a human being. Many people have done this, most recently in the 20th century in Communist nations like Stalin's Soviet Union and Mao's China, where "friends" would routinely denounce each other to the authorities for ideological impurity. Such people are truly wretched and unhappy, and would not make good friends anyway.
