Slain Baltimore homicide Detective Sean Suiter was scheduled to testify before a federal grand jury in the case against a squad of indicted officers on the day after he was shot, Baltimore Police Commissioner Kevin Davis said Wednesday evening.

A caller from Baltimore said on talk radio the other day that the word on the street was he was about to testify.

Looks like he was right.

A private surveillance camera shows that his partner took cover across the street when he heard gunshots, then called 911.

The murder suspect escaped, and his identity is unknown.

Very strange.
