After all the controversy surrounding Donna Brazile’s book “Hacks,” I was sorely tempted to purchase it, but just reading the preface convinced me the kind of delusion you describe is systemic amongst liberals. They seem to have the unfortunate ability to truly forget their excuses, distortions, and outright lies are so much bullshit devised by themselves for the purpose of saving face, avoiding legal consequences, and/or justifying unjustifiable actions.
