Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup is the best starter for the all-time favorites of - hamburger Stroganoff, the holiday green bean casserole with toasted onions on top and other tasty & filling dishes.

I was raised on their tomato soup made with milk instead of water, true comfort food.

Yes, tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches is a great cold weather treat.

I didn’t even know you could use water to make Campbell’s tomato soup. I’m sure I have never had it.

When I was a child (60s) you could open a can of Campbell’s tomato and turn the can upside without the contents coming out. That’s how thick it was. Today it’s as thin as broth.

I put a tablespoon of medium Pace salsa a teaspoon of butter or olive oil in a pan - reduce it for less then a minute then add the Campbell’s cream of Tomato Soup... and a can of half milk, half water... Nice comfort food.

“Campbell’s cream of mushroom soup is the best starter...”

It's what holds my tuna and noodle cassarole together. Yum, yum!

“I was raised on their tomato soup made with milk instead of water, true comfort food.”

I used to envy the kids down the street; they got canned chicken noodle soup for lunch. My mother was never much for making soup anyway, but she never bought a can of soup in her life. She was overly thrifty, and said the stuff was just salt and water, anyway. I make my own soup, but my husband does like canned tomato soup. My homemade tomato soup tastes identical, but the texture is thicker, so he doesn’t care for it. (For you cooks out there, the secret ingredient is a pinch of allspice).
