Excellent analysis, thanks.
As a retired newspaper reporter and editor, it’s depressing to see how my profession has fallen into the hands of spoiled, petulant — but oh so very clever, at least in their own minds — children.
I worked for a bunch of liberal-leaning editors back in the 1980s and 90s who were still basically decent people. They didn’t care I was a Republican as long as I got my facts straight and my copy in on time.
They’re all gone now, retired or passed on. No new generation has risen to replace them, or seems likely to.
No new generation has risen been allowed by the media's marxist overlords to replace them, or seems likely to.
Now for the most part they don’t care if they have the facts, really not concerned if facts are straight. It is all about the liberal agenda with most and they only want to do stories that further their agenda.
The other thing that drives me nuts is reporters don’t seem to do any investigating before writing a story. So often they write articles that can be debunked with a quick search online- so they must not even do that much. The stories they write are also very shallow, no attempt to tell the whole story, or even enough so most readers will understand the issue on a very basic level.
Most of the time it seems like one reporter makes up a story and the rest copy it. Not even close to journalism. The headlines and even the articles are just meant to be sensational and to further the liberal agenda. They used to refer to that as tabloid journalism.
