You betcha it is. Is the Grand Mufti really going to repudiate this quote?
Sahih Bukhari (52:177) - Allah’s Apostle said, “The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. “O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.”

Please see my post #21. If the Grand Mufti really means what he says, he’ll be dead in a month. Same fate as Anwar Sadat.

I tend to agree. But if they take out the Grand Mufti, will this create a big internal battle on replacement? Is this part of the Saudi agenda as well? For Hamas, I might start expecting some guys retiring and hiding out.

Do all Sunni clerics take their orders from the Saudi Mufti? Dunno, but somehow I doubt it.

I wonder how this is going to go over in the rest of the Arab world? Well, if they want to go to Mecca and Medina, they'd better get with the program.
(or take them by force)

His ruling is in line with the Qu'ran, which very clearly states that the land Hamas claims was promised by Allah to the Hebrews. It actually validates the land that God (HaShem) bequeathed to the Jews after the Exodus, which is FAR larger than modern Israel and the "West Bank."WOW!
Looks like a good time to buy U-Haul stock.

Wow,that's a surprise.I guess the Saudis are finally realizing that Iran, and their foot soldiers, are the real enemy.

This looks like the fallout of a potential Iranian nuclear program. New alliance are forming, former enemies are allies and former allies are now enemies. Peace with Israel may be possible where it once seemed impossible.

I wonder how much this is due to the recent passing of the reins of power to the young prince.
This could be a watershed moment for the middle east, Islam and the world. The moment that Islam leaves the 7th century.

If the Grand Mufti really means what he says, hell be dead in a month. Same fate as Anwar Sadat.
Saudi Arabia and 1981 Egypt are very different places, security-wise.

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia issued a ruling forbidding war against the Jews and proclaiming that Hamas is a terror group.
And all the Jews for miles around me right now hate Trump. Not to be believed. We are moving in the winning direction but they are too brainwashed.

Prince Muhammad bin Salman’s work - I like what I’m seeing from Saudi Arabia’s young king-in-waiting. Hopefully he does not face a backlash from Islamic fundamentalists.

I would normally agree with you, not so sure that is the case here, but time I’m sure will tell.

Formal alliance with Israel against Iran. Wow. BTW, it’s been confirmed that Iran was funding Al Quida for years after 911.

“But what IS “Islam”?”
This sudden change shows just how malleable the interpretation of islam is - according to the whims of the ruling despot. It has always been that way.
The Saudis will turn on a dime when the King says so. So much of the Jihadi terrorism that we have have seen, is simply due to that having been the preference of the Saudi Royal Family.

Mohammed bin Salman is a reformer. The reception Trump got when he went to Saudi Arabia was unprecedented. Thomas Wictor is the best person explaining what’s going on in the Middle East.
It’s amazing. I never thought Islam could be reformed, but now I do.

I read he banned the radical clerics already. I don’t know in what way; fired or what. Being the crown prince means he can basically do what he wants, apparently.

Somehow I think this Mufti’s order will be complied with. Arabian Hotel California for any ‘rebels’, lately.
