100% agree. The results of this dirty trick could be a deadly civil war, if it turns out badly for our man Roy Moore.

If they are able to not seat a duly elected Senator, on the basis of an unprovable or undisprovable allegation stemming back to the Carter administration (and, if there was some kind of crime committed, the statute of limitations would have run out during the Reagan administration), all for a "crime" which is substantially less serious than the similar crimes which were ignored (Biden, Clinton, Kennedy, etc.), then it means that the concept of representative democracy is dead, in the United States.

There is no other way to interpret this. This is not just Alabama. If they can ignore the voters' selection in Alabama, they can do so in any state. And since they are using such a flimsy excuse to do so, they are essentially saying "you can only vote for representatives that we approve of". At that point, democracy is finished.

If the left (and I am including virtually the entire "Republican" party in the left, since that is truly where their allegiance lies) succeeds, and America simply ignores it (or, worse, comforts themselves with "oh, at least a Republican got in, even if it wasn't Alabama's first choice, and that means Trump will get some judicial nominees through"), then it is all but impossible to see what would cause middle, normal, America, to decide that they have simply had enough.

” never wound the prince” That great Machiavellian truism was worn proudly on inauguration day by Donald J, Trump who overcame Gloria Alred assisted women whore liars to ruin him. So the Gope Tries it again here with a man of God and conservative leader and it gets NUKED today — just like it was destroyed by Trump. The real question is the sexual perversion in the US Senate, I want to know— Why has $13 million in taxpayer money been paid in sexual harassment cases in the Senate?

“then it means that the concept of representative democracy is dead”

We were a constitutional representative republic with a very LIMITED democratic process to elect our representatives.

Leave it to the rinos, fake media & demoncrats to screw up even the “limited democratic process” part.

they are essentially saying "you can only vote for representatives that we approve of".

One thing nobody has discussed yet is the Article V implications.

Article V says "...and that no State, without its Consent, shall be deprived of its equal Suffrage in the Senate."

We cannot have a Senate that refuses to seat a legitimately elected Senator from a state simply because they don't like that Senator. That denies the state its equal suffrage for the period of time it takes the people to replace the Senator. Continuous rejections until the people select an acceptable person to the existing Senators is unconstitutional.
