The only thing that was creepy in all this was Roy Moore admitting on Hannity that at the age of 35 he asked out 16 year old girls parents. That is weird to see an adult do that.
Although I think it was an old Southern tradition for families to attempt to set up their teen daughter with an older successful gentleman. That way their daughter is financially safe.
It’s huge in the Muslim community world wide. We see Muslim families giving away their little ones, not even teens, to grown men. It’s a very disturbing tradition that I will never understand.
In any event, I do know as late as the mid 1980s in Georgia you an adult could have consensual sex with a 14 year old, and it was 16 in many other States.
I don’t know what State law was in 1977 in Alabama, but I imagine it was similar to Georgia.
Nevertheless, this was 40 years ago. We are a different country today.
