Republican leadership can always be counted on to go squishy with Democrats.
They go squishy because of the power of the establishment media. Trump showed the media could be beaten.
Roy Moore is the next test. That is why the all out push to prevent his election. The establishment fears him and his example.
They believe, rightly, that he will not be counted on to observe the Congressional code of silence.

Republicans go squishy because they've been Finlandized by the Democrats, Stockholmed by the media, and now cower like battered wives under pressure if they dare say a cross word about it to anyone.

It won't end with Moore. IF they claim his scalp, it'll be on to Arizona for Kelli Ward, and Tennessee for Marsha Blackburn.
