And why must we assume and accept courting behavior that is more appropriate to the last century as normal behavior for (backwoods) southern states. Because it is an insulting stereotype and no more true in the deep south than in any other state. It was creepy in the late 70’s when I was an early 20 somethings and its creepy today.
