What were AL labor laws like back in 1977? Even then, 16 year olds could only work a maximum set of hours per week (No more than 24, for example) and they couldn't work late at night, usually after 8pm.

So if Roy Moore was supposedly stopping by every night - how late was he coming in? I'm assuming he would be coming in late in the evening. And in December, this girl would still be in school and subjected to labor laws for minors.

"Minors 16-17-18 who are enrolled in public or private school, may NOT work after 10pm or before 5am on a night preceding a school day."
