I told my son and daughter - you want private conversations, then go to school, get good jobs, save your money and then move out some day. Until then I get to tap your phones, record your internet use, and even read your diaries anytime I become concerned about your behavior.
As a result, near midnight one night, I told my daughter, who was pretending to be asleep, to call back some 19-year-old “Joey” and tell him that I’d be waiting for him with this baseball bat if he showed up at 3 am hoping to sneak her out of the house, and YES I knew about this because I tapped her phone (after catching her standing outside her window claiming to be “looking at stars” late at night earlier in the week).
Good for you. I have that to look forward too with my granddaughter (who is right around the corner from teen angst). Sigh!
