I don’t get why a man in his 30s is dating teenagers. Just saying.

Do you live in the real world?

I always preferred girls my own age and I seem to remember the Freshman class looking kind of young when I was in Grad School.

On the other hand , lots of guys around thirty were always hitting on the teens

Back in the day, Southern Belles were 17 going on 29 and they never hit 30, even long after they were 40.

Guess you had to have been there to understand. If you were there , you get it.

If you were not there, well, you missed out.

I’m 70 so recall how things were 40 years ago. Feminism hadn’t reached peak yet so women weren’t told they must have a career. They dated older men, and parents encouraged them to make a “good match”, i.e., someone who could protect and take care of them. If that meant an older man, no big deal.

We can’t look through our 21st century prism and be too critical of what social mores were a half century ago. Things were much different then.
