I’m not on any bandwagon and I’m only referring to Moore’s disturbing “memory” comment. He doesn’t remember speaking to her civics class, sounds fair. But he REMEMBERS THAT A HIGH SCHOOL GIRL WAS HIS FRIEND. And then he has no recollection of dating her. That latter is what cannot be true.

If you remember back to your thirties when you had a friendship with a high schooler, you know damn well whether you liked her enough to want to kiss her or not. She says they dated chastely, with some kissing.

It wasn’t illegal. So there was more benefit for Moore if he had been honest about what he remembered with her. He chose not to be. Which is what bothers me.

Good people can be honest.

Re: “I’m not on any bandwagon...”

OK. I believe that.

But I think you will acknowledge that a “bandwagon” does exist, and that the goal of that bandwagon is to elect a Democrat senator from Alabama.

Moore has denied knowing the 14 year old, so, unless WaPo can prove he did know her, that allegation is dead.

However, you are still willing to offer aid and comfort to the Democrat bandwagon, based only your personal belief that Moore is lying about not “dating” one of the other teenagers 40 years ago.

In my opinion, that is a reckless political decision on your part that invites legitimate criticism.
