Alabama’s only openly gay legislator says she’s irritated to hear fellow state officials defend Republican Senate candidate Roy Moore, who was accused Thursday of romantically pursuing minors when he was in his 30s.
“I hate to say this, but men need to shut up defending him and listen to the women's pain,” said Rep. Patricia Todd, a Democrat who Moore has dismissed in the past as a “liberal lesbian legislator.”
“The cover seems to be ‘if it is true’ and I am so disappointed in my Republican peers who continue to support him,” Todd told the Washington Examiner. “We have seen this too many times, a so-called Christian falling from that pedestal.”

This story line was scripted in a way to strip away voters from Moore's foundational base - not so much from undecideds.
There is nothing like a “sexual contact with a 14-year old” story to send moral women and men to the exits.
Years ago, Democrat strategists would have written the story to allege “sexual contact with a 14-year old boy.”
Such a story line today would have half the Democrats and all of Hollywood supporting Moore. He would win in a Democrat landslide.
Because it doesn't matter if it's true or not. The important thing is the accusation.

Yes, confessing to false charges about illicit sex with minors is always a vote getter.

Post 1: She is a liar. Some of my family was Pastor to her and she is lying 100%. We know her personally... Terrible woman! She lied on several ministers that we know.
Post 2: .... yes, it is very much so a pattern for her! she has went to various churches within our denomination and accused at least three other pastors besides an uncle of ours, making sexual advances at her. Each time that she brought it to the District board for Alabama they found her to be uncredible and she changed her story many times. Additionally, she tried to sue a pastor in one of the sections within our denomination and the Circuit Judge would not hear the case. This was around 2007 this particular incident took place.
Post 3: Our section Presbyter has been notified and has notified the proper authorities! She is 100% uncredible. This is just an attack on a good Christian man, no doubt she was promised some type of monetary benefit for her lies by someone... I know 100% that she is money hungry and I wish I could go into details of the other situations involving the pastor that she accused. I will say this though I can truthfully say that 3 times out of the four times she accused pastors that we know, she attempted to “ Make a Deal” to not go public with the accusation if she would be compensated an x amount of dollars. That is one reason why the Circuit Judge in the Civil Court dismissed her case with prejudice.
It will be pretty easy to search the Alabama Court records to see if that civil suit was filed by the accuser against a pastor around 2007 and it’s disposition. It’s game over for the ComPost when that becomes public.
As a Jewess on the US, I can only point out that the number of women who allegedly DATED, but had no sex with, Roy Moore is EXACTLY the same number who accused President Clinton of FORCIBLE RAPE, a FAR more serious offense. Now we know why all REAL Americans put our 2nd Amendment FIRST. Just sayin’!

He has already stated that the allegations are completely untrue. Why do you accuse him of lying?
Can we zero in on the exact statement Roy made if so (as well as, for that matter, the exact allegations). “Fake news” doesn’t equal “completely untrue.” It has room for parsing. Also, questioning whether or not he was completely honest is not the same thing as accusing him of lying. We have someone who would be a poison pill if he was a hypocrite, and it is appropriate to put him to the test.
Why is the woman accusing him of lying? I’d also like to know that.
