This is what happens when a McConnel GOPe type runs. I’m sure many stayed home after Gillespie barely won the primary.
I’m not sure if Stewart would have won the Governor’s race, but I believe there would have been a higher turnout.
NorthernVA (DC) and Richmond dominate now.

Virginia has been a Swamp driven crack whore for years.
The best thing Trump could do to help Virginia in the long run is to further gut federal government jobs and temporarily crater Virginia's economy, especially in Northern Virginia.
