Monday on MSNBC, Gov. Terry McAuliffe (D-VA) dismissed the allegations laid out by former Democratic National Committee chairwoman Donna Brazile in her forthcoming book, “Hacks.”
In her book, Brazile said the 2016 process for choosing the eventual Democratic presidential nominee, which was Hillary Clinton, was rigged.
McAuliffe’s reaction was “nobody cares,” and he attempted to steer the conversation to tomorrow’s gubernatorial election in Virginia.
Partial transcript as follows:
KATY TUR, MSNBC: I want to ask you about Donna Brazile and the allegations that are coming out in her new book. There’s a lot of people on both sides of the issue here saying that the DNC is completely rigged. There are other saying it’s not rigged at all, this is completely just the way politics works and people are making too a big deal over it. The fact of the matter is it’s in the news, it’s casting a negative spotlight on the Democratic party. I mean, you have to have some concern about how that’s going to play out in Virginia. Correct?
GOV. TERRY McAULIFFE (D-VA), FORMER DNC CHAIRMAN: Nobody cares.

Just because you don’t care, that doesn’t mean nobody cares.

He’s one of the nobodies that doesn’t care.
But with the book sales that will take place and additional attention paid to the revelations within it, it will demonstrate that there are many more somebodies who do care.
If Donna can’t be tossed under the bus she’ll have to be swept under the rug.
I listened to the entire interview. All he’s doing is campaigning for president.
He talks about VA having the lowest employment rate and all the great things he’s done as governor. He fails to mention all the FEDERAL dollars brought to VA after 8 years of obama. DC grew like never before under obama. VA was the main beneficiary of this.
Only a fellow Clinton criminal would say that.
If someone wrote a book saying the Republican primary was rigged in favor of President Trump, does anyone believe McAuliffe would be saying “nobody cares”?
They’re rattled.
If MSNBC isn’t buying into your spin, no one will buy into it, Terrence.
BTW, you shouldn’t push that White Privilege this against Miss Brazile. It doesn’t look good on you.
