“Willeford jumped out of the truck and rested his rifle on top of Langendorffs hood and shouted for Kelley to ‘get out.’
Willeford, in his interview with Crowder today, said that he knew that he (Willeford) had exactly two rounds left in his rifle at that point . . .
The above link to youtube is Crowder’s interview.
Willeford obviously knows his way around guns (NRA instructor) - but even he said that at 20 yards with a rifle and an Eotech(?) sight - it wasn't an expert shot. He DID say that if he had grabbed a pistol it might have turned out with him being dead instead.
Crowder talked about how this emphasizes what he has said before - getting a firearm to as many good people out there as possible. Even with a little bit of shooting experience and skills they can be an imposing force on bad guys.
Willeford said he thinks it was the Holy Spirit that made him aware and focus on the gap in the body armor. Something like: “I don't think I would have thought of that on my own!”
