Keep in mind how far off the polls were off in the 2013 Virginia governors race:
the WashPost poll done before the 2013 election had Terry McAuliffe up by 12 points but he only won by 2.5 points

I think DC Virginia also manages to “find’ numerous Democrat votes on election night when it becomes apparent that more are needed.
