That recalls a line in “Gauntlet,” a Clint Eastwood flick about a cop hired to escort a witness to safe custody. They face multiple attempts to murder them.
Not realizing how corrupt his boss is, the cop tells the woman he was hired because “I get the job done!”
She replies, “They don’t WANT the job done!”
