The Senate confirmed two more appeals court picks Thursday, closing out a week that saw them devote all their time to filling the federal judiciary with President Trump’s nominees.

Including the two latest picks, they confirmed four circuit judges and one district judge this week — overcoming Democratic filibuster attempts for each.

Senators voted 56-41 to confirm Colorado Supreme Court Justice Allison Eid for a seat on the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, then voted 54-43 for Stephanos Bibas, who is nominated to the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

MAGA!

?? HOW many is that for the tenure, so far? We all know that pace won’t last/remain.

My bigger question is: How many were impeached from the bench for over-reach, anti-Constitutional rulings and the like?

IMO, not enough of the latter vs. the former.

“Someone needs to slap down the 9th Circus.”

Better still, break it up! Maybe three courts.

80 of the empty seats are positions the ,Mc,Connell kept Obama from filling. The reason the demo rats are being obstructionist is because Mac wouldn’t let them fill those seats. As much as I don’t appreciate him, he kept the SCOTUS seat open as well as these 80 other judicial seats.

I’m all for that, too, with lots of new judges appointed by Trump. Move the existing judges to a new Eastern District of Nevada, where they can handle Indian casinos and deal with desert mining law.

We need to replace these judges.

You are right, but we also need to lean on Congress to rein in the out-of-control judiciary. Congress has the tools, but so far, won't use them.

Congress can restrict what kinds of cases the federal courts can hear.

Congress can remove judges who do not observe "good behavior."

Congress can restrict funding for the courts.

Congress can consolidate or abolish the inferior courts (those below the Supreme Court).
