Sorry El Paso is 650 miles east of San Diego. (That’s one hell of a brothel! and a long walk even for a Texan.)
Oh, dear. My memory served me badly. Many years ago, I was in the army stationed near San Diego, and then moved on to the desert north of El Paso for a longer while. I got them confused as to which was a neighbor to brothel town.

Well let's put that in prospective.
If you were to divide the State of Alaska in to two parts / states, Texas would be the 3rd largest state.
Now if you really want to see a Texan, blow steam out of his ears, just tell that if you wait for "Low Tide," and divide Alaska into thirds, Texas would then be the fourth largest state.
