A former adviser to President Trumps campaign during an interview early Tuesday dismissed George Papadopoulos's role, saying he was the coffee boy and had nothing to do with the campaign.
I mean, you might have called him a foreign policy analyst, Michael Caputo told CNNs New Day.
"But in fact, you know, if he was going to wear a wire, all wed know now is whether he prefers a caramel macchiato over a regular American coffee in conversations with his barista."
He had nothing to do with the campaign," Caputo added on CNN. "And all this contact with alleged Russians is something completely beyond the scope of his volunteer duties."

In other words, all resume and no career. SMH that this kid ever got to sit at a table with the candidate.
“It amazes me that Mueller thinks this lemon has anything worth squeezing. Anybody from the campaign who had been up to something illegal would have been a fool to talk to junior about it.”
Personally, I think Mueller has run out of “lemons to squeeze,” and is now taking large doses of Imodium to keep from $hitting himself over the prospect of yet another “independent counsel” being fielded to look into Uranium One, a scandal in which he is “intimately involved!”
"A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee," the former president told the liberal lion from Massachusetts, according to the gossipy new campaign book, "Game Change."
Papadopoulos - wasn’t that Rusty’s name in Las Vegas Vacation?? lol (I know what it actually was).. All he did was lie about his age and won a Viper, Hummer, Mustang and Corolla? :-)
And it was reported by John Roberts FNC that the White House gave information on him to the Justice Dept. for him sending emails to some campaign staff. How is that ‘collusion’ when you’re actually reporting it to Mueller?
Going conspiratorial - Papadopoulos could have been a Democrat plant.
/conspiratorial
Sounds rassist!
Or was it “Covfefe Boy”?
He was convicted of lying to the FBI because he gave them the wrong date about a PERFECTLY LEGAL MEETING”””
I would not have to stretch my imagination to believe that many people in the business world might not get the exact date of one meeting out of hundreds correct. I don’t have very many meetings with people, I am damn sure I might get the date wrong if trying to recall something.
I am beginning to wonder if they offered him a ‘no jail and minimal fine’ deal, just so that they could get one conviction.
I would never have pleaded guilty for mis-remembering a LEGAL meeting date as ‘a lie’
That is exactly what I thought too! I thought it was weird that they were targeting Reps and Dems, but then...
Dashed hopes, I agree.
Great...Muller turned Spider.
arg...that should be “Mueller turned Spider”.
