Paul Manafort, the onetime chairman of President Donald Trump's campaign, has been indicted along with his former colleague, Rick Gates. The indictments mark the beginning of a new phase in Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian attempts to interfere in the 2016 presidential election. The timing of the indictment suggests that Mueller is pursuing a legal strategy typically reserved for cases involving drug cartels and mafia families.

So we taxpayers must spend millions to enable Mueller to nab Manafort for something that an IRS audit should have accomplished. Oops, I lost my mind for a minute. The IRS is to occupied with persecuting Tea Party groups, ala Lois Lerner, to do audits.

Maybe I am connecting dots that aren’t there, but I found it interesting that Trump’s first confidential national security briefing was on 17th August and he fired Manafort on 19th.
I will be shocked to see anyone associated with the Clintons or the DNC being indicted.

Agreed, I don’t think anyone actually in the know is shocked to find out they found something to indict this guy. He’s a sleezebag, and Trump already knows it because he fired him way back during the campaign after figuring that out.
Sadly can’t unring the bell of hiring him in the first place, so whatever they found on him which will never touch Trump, will be spun as “proof” by the left to keep this nonsense going.

I agree. Millions went through Manafort’s Cyprus accounts. He probably didn’t pay taxes on any of it. Let Manafort go to jail.
President Trump needs to say, “I fired him from the campaign because of issues raised about payments from Ukraine. I hardly know him. Time to go deal on Tax Reform. Have a great day everyone!”

The democrats and the MSM still have not explained how it is that the Russians, with no background, experience in democratic elections, or in American elections, can offset the abilities of democrat election engineers with one and a half billion dollars and hundreds of millions of free help from the MSM. Specifically, how did the Russians know what to do that the Trump campaign could not figure out?
Boris Karloff, I mean Mueller, is just charging Manafort with something, anything, just so he can turn the screws on Manafort and get him to talk about Trump, but it’s a lost cause because Trump didn’t do anything.
It’s completely insane. The guy who had absolutely nothing to do with the Russians gets his ass investigated off, while the bitch Hillary who invented the “Trump/Russia collusion” hoax and actually DID collude with the Russians is waltzing around scot free, not so much as a parking ticket.
