If it’s true that this FBI investigation was chronologically undertaken, as Comey suggested in testimony, then of course the FBI started with Flynn. To date, Flynn has escaped indictment and more tellingly, Flynn has attracted virtually no media scrutiny, and no FBI leaks.
The avalanche of leaks have been indicative of where things were going. Evidently Flynn’s little case has been deemed a dead letter, a dead end, a poof, given a PFFFT, by the media and the FBI leakers. That may mean something.
The FBI probably got nothing on Flynn.

The Flynn unmasking brigade are eventually going to meet their Waterloo, but so far nothing at all on hapless General Flynn has surfaced and I bet he goes Scott free.
General Flynn appears to be a military field man, through and through, and his goofy son made too many headlines which made them both look foolish. You could say that General Flynn has “got no couth”. I mean, he is more like a bull in the China closet, but he is an awesome man with a great record with the military, and was strictly loyal to Donald Trump. Deservedly so.
