Hear, hear. My experience is that if you take a principled stand and stand by it, the people will come. If you're mealy-mouthed and wishy washy, nobody is going to follow you. Taking these things down exemplifies a lack of leadership, and will make things worse for their attendance, not better.
They're supposed to provide spiritual leadership, guidance and teaching. Nobody wants a leader that blows with the wind and can't make a decision. Not in any sphere of leadership.
I go to this church and the attendance has gone down and down because they have become more liberal and political. They clergy are now all women who act like democrat activists, especially Ann Gillespie, who has hate Trump messages woven into her sermons. They are hypocrites of the lowest order.
