The FBI took off in the radical leftist Wilson progressive era. It was run by a self aggrandizing homo for over 5 decades. It has been eyeballs deep in dirty tricks, illegal domestic spying, and blackmail almost constantly.
Now, it is actually moving to establish itself as a 4th branch, literally independent of and beyond the control of the President, Congress, the Supreme Court and the American Citizens.
