“If only George H W Bush had drifted closer to that Japanese held island when he was shot down.
Not many Americans survived that place. Cannibalism and all.
We would have been spared his Reagan killing legacy as well as Ws eight years.”
You know I’ve been criticized here for having similar views those you’ve expressed above, but I think if you are going to pray for things, it follows that you should pray for the deaths of those who have or continue to do great harm to our Republic. The Booshes are at the top of my list, for HW’s trashing of the Ronald Reagan legacy, and for his idiot son, being probably the third worst president in my lifetime and for handing the presidency over to the Kenyan Koone for 8 years.
I think that praying for the removal from power of those who wish us harm is right and natural.
Especially when the powerful wish to lead us to a place or state of governance that evicts God’s Law from our society.
Didn’t the Israelites pray that God deal with wicked conquerors?
Didn’t Samson pray for one more minute of strength in which to destroy the temple?
I never hope or pray for someones death, I just leave the method to God.
In the case of Papa Bush it was a “what if” thought.
If Papa Bush had been captured or killed our recent history would be much different.
Better? Worse?
Only the Lord knows.
Another what if.
What if little Johnny McCain had been one of the victims on the Forrestal?
What if he had been shot instead of captured?
What if he had died in the Hanoi Hilton?
In any of the above cases our recent history could be much different.
As Songbird McCain has been diagnosed with an incurable brain cancer I am pretty certain that praying for and end to his and our suffering would not be held against us.
