I saw some strange headline about “If you called Flake a RINO 2 years ago...” yada yada yada. I called him out when he was in the House as one. When he went soft on one of the pro-illegals issues, I knew this punk was bad news, and that was at least in, what, 2010 ? I did not support him in his Senate run and would’ve voted third party or write-in against him. Almost never does my gut steer me wrong on these things.
I saw a tweet on politics1 from some guy I’ve never heard of named Tim Alberta, replying to some guy who said “Another RINO bites the dust”.
“Imagine, two years ago, someone calling Jeff Flake a “RINO. This, in a nutshell, is the story of the modern GOP.”
FR has been unfond of Flake for some time now, yes. Because of immigration.
But would *I* have called him a RINO 2 years ago, no. Nor would I imagine he’d be giving such an unhinged speech. He’s earned the moniker, Tim.
There was also a tweet criticizing the DNC Chairman for releasing a statement attacking Flake for voting with Trump. The divide on the left between those who think Flake is a pig who can go to hell because he’s a not a commie and those that think any Republican that attacks Trump needs to be praised is hilarious.

If Perez’s response was to attack Flake after he was done with his butthurt RINO blather against the President, that is epic-level incompetence from the DNC Chair, and more proof that party won’t be making a comeback anytime soon (at least not of their own accord).
More Sasse updates: Apparently, he won’t endorse Roy Moore for Senate. He was talking to Moore-hater Jonah Goldberg on a podcast, where he claimed Moore isn’t interested in conservatism and prefers “white-backlash grievance.”

When some loser asked him a gotcha question about whether he agrees with Moore who said faggotry should be illegal, 12 years ago. (Note, I don’t think it should, that’s unenforceable and silly but neither is gay sex a constitutional right like the Supremes claimed in 2003, Clarence Thomas got it right in his dissent).

How simple is that? A monkey could figure it out. There are only 52 Republicans in the Senate, Jones is a pinko, anyone who can’t give our Senate nominee a modicum of support but in fact undermines him instead, needs to go to his mom’s basement and pretend to be Jimmy Stewart for an audience of beanie babies and leave politics to the adults.
