VA is the pivot point for Dims. If they lose VA they will be pushed back fifty years. If they drop NJ too then the Dim party will have to disband all together.

Interesting how the "local & state-wide" polls in VA show a much different picture than the national MSM polls.

Could it be because the MSM is including Fairfax County's thousands of MS-13 members in the polling?

Hampton only does a Virginia poll. In NJ, Murphy is ahead by 15-20 points depending which poll you are reading.

Quote: “Does anybody have the numbers on NJ race?”

Phil Murphy has it in the bag. Anger with Christie is just killing Kim. But, I think watching the VA race is scaring Murphy. The other day he released a campaign commercial in front of the GW Bridge and invoked Bridgegate.

NJ as a default votes D. It takes the place bringing to the ground before the voters even remotely consider choosing an R.

Poll conducted by the public policy department at Hampton University, a historically black institution that would never be confused with Hillsdale, or Grove City College.

To its credit, Hampton’s poll has always been the most accurate of all the Virginia-based surveys, so I would put more credence in this poll than others.

Interesting footnote: during the 2014 Senate campaign, Hampton was supposed to release a final poll just a few days before the election. The poll was withheld, with the university citing a need to review the numbers before its release. Incumbent Mark Warner won in a nail-biter, by only a few thousand votes.

There have been rumors that the final Hampton poll in the Senate race showed the contest deadlocked, or with Gillespie slightly ahead, and (depending on the version you believe), the pollsters didn’t want to release their survey for fears of hurting Warner’s chances, or they were pressured to suppress the poll.

However, the poll remains very accurate and this should be good news for Gillespie. Still, he should be careful. Virtually guaranteed there will be some sort of surprise in the days ahead, and the Dims will spare no effort to turn out the vote in Norfolk, Portsmouth, Newport News, Hampton and Richmond, along with the counties bordering D.C.
