The Washington Post published a bombshell on the discredited Trump dossier on Tuesday.
As Kristinn Taylor reported earlier on The Gateway Pundit the WaPo article claims the 2016 presidential campaign of Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee paid for the Fusion GPS dossier alleging Russian ties with the presidential campaign of Republican Donald Trump and sordid phony personal smears of Trump. The Post reported that Clinton campaign and DNC lawyer Marc Elias and his law firm Perkins Coie paid Fusion GPS to continue researching Trump after a Republican donor who originally funded the research pulled out in April 2016. Fusion GPSs work researching Trump began during the Republican presidential primaries, when the GOP donor paid for the firm to investigate the real estate magnates background.
Fusion GPS did not start off looking at Trumps Russia ties but quickly realized that those relationships were extensive, according to the people familiar with the matter.
When the Republican donor stopped paying for the research, Elias, acting on behalf of the Clinton campaign and the DNC, agreed to pay for the work to continue. The Democrats paid for research, including by Fusion GPS, because of concerns that little was known about Trump and his business interests, according to the people familiar with the matter.

McButt
Republicans working with the DNC/Hillary. Maybe each put up half? IMHO, the Podesta’s were the facilitators who made the deal and probably told GPS Fusion to include fallacious and salacious details that would impugn Trump’s morals and character.
Actually, higher level politicians like Speaker of the House, committee chairs, senators and governors often do donate to the campaigns of their colleagues to help their side win. So they can be described as donors, although the term generally evokes non-politician money bags.
No, but he could spend his wifes money. Or his buddies he visits in foreign lands....
When did the GOP donor quit paying and when did HRC start paying?
My money is on McCain with Jeb a close second.
McMuffin with Mittens money
I agree!! I also believe that’s why he is not saying a word about Sessions even though many would like to see him go.
My money is on McCain or someone very close to him.
I’m Betting .... JEB BUSH
Bush paid for it, McCain made sure it got circulated.
Jeb
How bout Jebby “tippy-toes” Bush?
Yes, bring back the Whigs! Call them Trumpians, Constitution Party, whatever.
McC, McC, McC...
I think I saw on a thread here yesterday it was Jeb.
On the other hand, you wonder how long they’ll be able to keep up their game.
I voted for Trump, and I think it's fair to say he has done almost nothing to stop the Cheap Labor Express.
The good news - Trump has arrested criminal immigrants.
He has reduced the number of refugees from 75,000 a year to 55,000.
And, his “tough talk” has reduced the number of illegals trying to cross the border.
The bad news - Trump has arrested almost no illegal aliens unless they have a criminal record.
He has made almost no reduction in LEGAL immigration, which is currently 1.5 million per year.
He has not reduced any of the “H” work visas for software engineers, farm workers, and “temporary” unskilled labor.
The OPT work visa for foreign college graduates, which is valid for almost three years, has continued to expand, and is about 125,000 per year.
Trump extended DACA until 2018, in spite of promising to end it his first day in office, which is another 700,000 low skill jobs given to foreigners.
Under Trump, workplace immigration raids have increased only slightly compared to Obama.
And, E-Verify coverage has increased just slightly under Trump.
I’d guess it was a usual suspect. Jeb Bush is pretty high up on that list of probability.
Hmmm. I’m going with one of the Koch brothers, if he said it’s a donor. I can’t think of a bigger donor to the repugs that hated Trump.
This whole thing is 1000% bigger than Watergate.
